The inspiration for writing this book Everyday Science by Akram Kashmiri originally came from the Academy of Administrative Sciences, a premier institution engaged in preparing candidates for the 3.88 and other competitive examinations. The first edition was quickly sold out. Since then, the demand for the AHa book has been persistent. While bringing out the second edition, I have taken the opportunity to add substantial material. The subject has also received more detailed treatment at times. An added feature is the addition of selected questions and their answers at the end of each chapter, which will be found helpful by the students.
Everyday Science is a compulsory paper in all competitive examinations, both at the provincial and federal levels. The first edition received a tremendous response.
