Rana Sanaullah, the interior minister, has stated that the nation’s general elections must occur concurrently.
He voiced concern that if elections were held in stages, no one would recognize the results in a media interview on Wednesday.
According to our understanding, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) can do so; Mr. Sanaullah remarked about the PTI’s Supreme Court petition regarding the ECP’s decision to postpone elections.
The minister said that parliament had carried out its responsibility at the appropriate time, perhaps alluding to the Supreme Court (Practice and Procedure) Bill, 2023, which was introduced into the National Assembly on Tuesday night.

Mr. Sanaullah stated that, regrettably, actions made in the past divided society. He continued that a Supreme Court ruling could not be domestic because it affected the entire country. He went on to say that the court as a whole could resolve the ambiguity on this matter.
He hoped that the supreme court would provide the country with direction.
