Fawad Chaudhry, leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), declared on Sunday that the days of the fascist administration were numbered.

On Twitter, Fawad compared the PDM coalition government’s first year in office to “a long black night” that was forced onto the people to obscure Pakistan’s otherwise promising future.

The head of the PTI compared the fight against the night to a metaphor for light. He predicted the power would be transferred to the people within a few weeks, and the night would end.

During a news conference earlier on Thursday, a senior leader of the PTI, Fawad Chaudhry, alleged that the senior vice president of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Maryam Nawaz Sharif, wanted to see Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, get disqualified.

Mr. Chaudhry criticized the current government for tabling the resolution against the SC order, saying that the decision would not be reversed even if the National Assembly passed the motion.

Mr. Chaudhry slammed the coalition administration for “not being willing to contest elections,” pointing out that the Constitution mandates elections be held no later than 90 days after the house is dissolved. However, the government’s actions are contrary to the Constitution. The ruling class thinks it should restrict citizens’ voting rights.
