After ruling Imran Khan’s illegal arrest in the Al-Qadir Trust case, the Chief Justice of Pakistan, Umar Ata Bandial, and two other judges ordered his release in a spectacular turn of events.

Imran Ismail, a former governor of Sindh, praised the ruling with the phrase “Pakistan Zindabad,” while Babar Awan, the head of the PTI, claimed that Imran Khan was now in the Supreme Court’s custody.
It has opposed government efforts to postpone provincial elections, and it is currently disputing the legitimacy of Imran Khan’s detention.
