Following the cancellation of Parvez Elahi’s bail by an anti-corruption court, a substantial police force arrived at his residence. The PTI president has been accused of interfering in state affairs, misusing power, and irregularities in the development funds. A case has been filed against him at the Ghalib Market police station.

According to sources, a team comprising DIG Operations Sadiq Ali Dogar, Model Town SP Operations Ammara Sherazi, and SSP Operations Sohaib Ashraf, accompanied by a substantial police force, arrived at the residence of Parvez Elahi.

The legal representatives of Parvez Elahi notified the police that their client was not on the premises. They also expressed their willingness to assist the police in searching for the house, provided that the police present a valid arrest warrant.

According to the statement made by Mr Elahi’s legal representative in court, the former chief minister was experiencing chest discomfort and could not attend the court proceedings. According to the prosecution, the medical certificate presented by Parvez Elahi’s counsel during the court proceedings was fraudulent.

The court dismissed Parvez Elahi’s interim bail plea due to non-compliance. Furthermore, the court denied the PTI leader’s plea for exemption from attendance.
